Client Closet for Mothers

We’re currently building a small but thoughtfully curated client closet for mothers, featuring a growing selection of neutral, flowy maxi dresses that photograph beautifully in our lifestyle studio space.

These pieces are available as an optional styling resource for mothers who would like additional support when planning their session. The collection is intentionally minimal and continues to grow over time.

Clients are always welcome to wear their own outfits, and we’re happy to provide guidance on styling and coordination to ensure everything photographs cohesively.

  • All sessions take place in our Allen, Texas studio, where carefully curated setups, professional lighting, and a fully stocked client wardrobe create a seamless and stress-free experience. We do not offer in-home sessions.

Cake Smash FAQs

  • Cake smash sessions are best booked at least 6 to 8 weeks in advance, especially if you would like the photos completed before your child’s birthday.

  • Most cake smash sessions take place around 11 to 13 months, but they can be scheduled anytime you would like to celebrate your little one.

  • Choose between a playful inflatable balloon garland or a simple, organic lifestyle setup with a clean and minimalist feel.

  • Families provide the cake so you can choose the bakery, ingredients, and style that work best for your child.

  • Family and sibling portraits are included with the Family Story and Complete Story collections. Simply Baby is focused entirely on your child.

  • Yes. We begin with clean portraits before introducing the cake so you receive a variety of images.

  • You may bring an outfit that coordinates with your chosen setup. Simple textures, soft colors, overalls, rompers, and neutral outfits photograph beautifully. We also provide outfits that photograph beautifully.

  • That is completely okay. Some children eat the cake, while others simply play with it. We follow your child’s comfort level and still capture their personality.

  • Our cake smash sessions are designed around inflatable balloon garlands or organic minimalist setups rather than highly themed or character-based designs.

  • Yes. The selected setup and coordinating studio props are prepared for you. You are welcome to bring a small meaningful item to personalize the session.

  • A small (4-6 inch), soft cake with simple frosting works best. Avoid dark frosting colors because they can stain your child’s skin and clothing.

  • Please bring an extra outfit for your child and the adults attending. Wipes and basic cleanup supplies are available at the studio.

  • We use reusable inflatable balloon garlands instead of single-use balloons whenever possible. We also recommend small, baby-sized cakes to reduce unnecessary food waste.

  • You are welcome to take the remainder of the cake home after the session so it does not go to waste.
